Vitamin Water just put out a pretty hilarious ad featuring David Wright and Mike the Situation from the extremely over-played MTV reality show Jersey Shore. It’s pretty absurd that Vitamin Water paid this meat head to promote their product, but it’s definitely a solid ad. For the record… fuck the Mets, Yanks all day. While I must admit their act is becoming a little played out, it’s still hard not to laugh at these knucklehead guido’s. The cast of Jersey Shore appeared on Jay Leno’s show last week to do a little “Jaywalking.”

While a ton of controversy and ugliness surrounded Jay Leno’s return to his position as host of “The Tonight Show,” Leno is back in full force. Last night, Leno returned to the position he’s held for 17 years after a 9 month hiatus. Having been a longtime fan of Leno and “The Tonight Show,” I will be definitely be tuning in to his first week back, especially with the IMPRESSIVE list of guests who will be making an appearance on his show. The masterminds at MTV were on to something when they decided to hire Snooki, one of the sweaty co-stars of MTV’s Jersey Shore, to give interviews on the red carpet at this week’s Grammy Awards. Alternative album of the year award winners Phoenix, were unlucky enough to get stopped by the dumpy guidette. The results are pretty much amazing. Click here to watch the interview.

These fist-pumping guidos and guidettes may be unskilled at trivia games on Jay Leno’s TV show but they know what they’re doing when it comes to getting paid. The cast of Jersey Shore has reportedly turned down an offer from MTV of $5,000 per episode for a potential Season 2. With some members of The Hills making over $100,000 per episode, turning this offer down was a no-brainer. MTV came back with an offer of $10,000 to which the cast has not yet responded, but I expect the two sides to eventually reach an agreement at a price much higher than $10,000 per episode.

So I just started immersing myself in the amazing absurdity that is MTV’s Jersey Shore. If you don’t watch this show you should congratulate yourself for either living under a rock or not succumbing to the ugly face of pop culture. Anyway, to cut to the chase: It’s been reported that Snookie, the guidette who takes a fist to the face, just got paid $10,000 to host a fist pumping contest at the Hard Rock at FSU in Florida. To add insult to injury, Snookie’s gelled-up counterparts only make $7,500 for their club appearances. Guess being a guido isn’t the worst idea after all…
