New York is the venue for the Nike sponsored World Basketball Festival. Jay-Z performed at Music City Hall for day one of the weekend long festival. The final event will take place on Sunday at MSG, where there will be a double header between the USA and France followed by China versus Puerto Rico. Hahahah, this skit was amazing. Paul Rudd impersonated Jim Grey, while Steve Carell handled LBJ’s script. For all of those who missed the ESPSYs a few nights back, this is when it was aired. Personally, I thought Seth Myers did a great job hosting the award show. Between ripping on Tebow and Farve, Myers got the best of just about everybody including Shockey. Conclusively, Steve had a good run with Chili’s, but tonight it is just right at Outback Steakhouse. The only part I think they messed up on was that Steve Carell wasn’t rocking the neck beard as Lebron was. #BloomingOnion.

Alright haters. The KING has made his deicsion and it is to play with the Miami Heat, along with Dwayne Wade and Chris Bosh. There is no denying it is impressive to see three stars drop their egos, sacrifice maximum money and be willing to share the basketball in order to win championships. I am ashamed and appalled for the Clevland fans for the way they reacted and burning his jersey. Yes he did turn his back on them, but for all that he has done for that organization his jersey should be retired. 28 ppg, 7 reb and 7 ass in 7 seasons??? That is unheard of!!! Well, I believe myself and the rest of the world is happy this Lebronathon is finally over and the next season in the NBA shall reveal a whole lot.

After HOV and Jeezy brought down the United Center last night, they decided to rage at The Shrine in Chicago. MaxB and I spoke of making the last minute move down to the Chi, but things didn’t work out to say the least. Apparently LBJ didn’t let anything get in his way to see the show, let alone make moves to the club. The Cavs play the Bulls tonight at 8pm CST and I would not be surprised to see Jay-Z, Jeezy and others sitting court side. Other guest appearances include Derrick Rose, Hakim Warrick, Antawn Jamison and plenty of other NBA players. Hit the jump to see more pictures and a video from the evening.

The 2010 NBA All-Star Weekend kicks off tonight and all events will be held in the American Airlines center with the actual all-star game being held in the massive Dallas Cowboys stadium. While this weekend is a serious production, it is hard to deny that there is great entertainment value in some of these events. Below is a list of what will be happening each night. Saturday night should provide for some great television.

Saturday: Skills Challenge, 3-point Shootout, Slam Dunk Contest (8:30 ET)

The Lebron James, More Than A Game documentary was released today on DVD. The documentary chronicles the maturation and success of Lebron and his high school teammates, highlighting their loyalty, friendship and devotion to one another while under intense public scrutiny. The movie was not a box office hit as it was only in theaters for less than two months and failed to gross $1 Million in the US, however as a basketball fan I thoroughly enjoyed it and recommend it.

A case of the stolen Air Max Missing VII brings forth a Sherlock Holmes – like character to start breaking investigating the situation.
