For those of you who are unaware, Weezy F’s Rebirth album was officially released today. It really isn’t as bad as I anticipated to be completely honest. It’s pretty crazy/scary that Wayne can get away with this by just making up his own style of rock that is viewed as super unconventional. The underlying success to the album is the list of producers involved including Tha Bizness, Cool & Dre, J.U.S.T.I.C.E. League and many others. Don’t get me wrong, there are a few terrible tracks (the price is wrong) but in its entirety it exceeded my expectations (which were set at an all time low).

Here’s the first official music video from On Fire off Wayne‘s upcoming album Rebirth. Much as the title implies, this track is based off the “She’s On Fire” sample from Scarface. (You know that scene where Tony is dancing with Michelle Pfeiffer for the first time in the club, yea that song.) Anyway, I’m not too crazy about this track, or any of the cuts I’ve heard off Rebirth thus far. I wonder if I’ll grow to like this album after hearing it several times, word to 808′s.
